The horizon we can never touch
Nearly a hundred performers form a “horizon” by matching their heights at Neue Nationalgalerie in Berlin
Nearly a hundred performers came together to form a line above their head by matching their heights. Isaac Chong Wai presented his performance The horizon we can never touch along the 50-meter façade of the Neue Nationalgalerie. Facing each other across the window, participants adjusted their height to align with a shifting horizon—asking: Who leads, and who follows when norms and standards are at play?
The horizon we can never touch (2014/2025) by Isaac Chong Wai was invited to perform at PERFORM! 2025 curated by Klaus Biesenbach with Lisa Botti, and Gregor Quack at the Neue Nationalgalerie in Berlin.
